Day 1 - Kings Canyon and cattle station experience
Our adventure begins traveling to the Outback Camel Farm where you will be able to ride a camel (at own expense), before continuing on to Kings Canyon viewing the unique scenery along the way. We reach our destination in the afternoon in time to explore and climb Kings Canyon viewing the impressive of the 'Amphitheatre', 'The Lost City', the picturesque 'Garden of Eden' and the breathtaking North and South Walls. We then head to our overnight camp at Kings Creek Station for a bush camp where there is an opportunity for camel rides, quad bikes and helicopter flights (at own expense).

Day 2 - Kings Canyon to Uluru
We rise with the sun, and head back to the Lassister Highway through vibrant red sand dune country towards Uluru, where we spend the next two nights at Yulara in a comfy camp site. Two nights at Yulara is sufficient as insurance against cloud cover. Arriving at Uluru mid- afternoon, time will be spent in the cultural centre where guests will be introduced to the life in the shadow of Uluru and be given the opportunity to purchase and view aboriginal art. A guided mala walk will be undertaken to discover the various dreamtime stories associated with Uluru. Enjoy a spectacular sunset, and then return to camp for a yummo dinner, then settle down for the night to view the brilliance of the outback sky tucked up in swag.

Day 3 - Uluru and Kata Tjuta
After watching Uluru sunrise, we commence the full 9Km base walk (self guided), of notable interest are the Mala and Mutitijula waterholes. Enjoy the walk around the base exploring the various mysterious rock formations and Aboriginal art sites whilst watching the changing light on the desert. Similarly an opportunity to climb the rock is also available. After lunch, we set out to explore the wonder of Kata Tjuta and hike the valley of the winds. Geology talks and guided walks will occur on this hike. After watching the desert sun set over Uluru and Kata Tjuta, we return to our camp site for another tasty dinner and night under a million stars.

Day 4 - Yulara to the Opal Capital of the World
We rise before the sun for a big day traveling down the track. After a sunrise at Uluru, we devour a lot of kilometers on the open remote roads of the Stuart highway, saying goodbye to the northern Territory as we pass through the South Australia border and into the real outback of Australia. Our journey takes us through the small township of Marla, the only civilization for miles before we reach the colourful breakaways site of the film mad Max 3, that is a spectacular to behold. Our journey ends for the day at Coober Pedy, the underground mining village, where we will spend the night is underground bunkhouse accommodation.

Day 5 - Coober Pedy to William Creek
This morning is spend exploring the mining town of Coober Pedy where there is the opportunity to see underground churches, underground houses and even the chance for a bit of noodling (fossicking). We will also embark on a mining/opal cutting tour and there will be chances to buy an opal from the opal capital of the world. In the afternoon we head off down the track again to our destination of William Creek, stopping at the worlds longest dog fence that continues for thousands of kilometers along the remote landscape of outback South Australia. Driving through red sand dune country and salt pans we reach our camp for the night in the small town (population of 12) of William creek where the main road is also an airstrip.

Day 6 - The Famous Oodnadatta Track
We set off this morning waving goodbye to the locals, down the dirt Oodnadatta Track where we pop in for a quick spa in the natural thermal mound springs on our way to Marree. Stopping at the fascinating Lake Eyre salt pan to ogle at the sheer size of the pan, we continue down the old Ghan railway line to the old Ghan railway station town of Marree. We the head off to Lyndhurst where we leave the dirt track on our way to the outskirts of Leigh creek to visit eccentric Talc Alf, to have a yarn. The remaining journey takes us in to our camp for the night in bunkhouse accommodation at Angorichina.

Day 7 - Wilpena Pound
We rise with the sun this morning heading off to one of Australia most fascinating natural features, Wilpena pound. Dirt tracks take us through the copper mines of Blinman and into the heart of the ranges. The afternoon presents the opportunity for some interesting walks into Wilpena pound and some challenging climbs to see some breathtaking scenery. We camp overnight in swags again

Day 8 - Adelaide Bound
The last day of our adventure, we head further South through the Flinders ranges marveling at the chances in landscape from the rugged outback to the lush country side. We make our way through small country villages such as Hawker, Quorn and Melrose, stopping at the Clare valley to visit a few wineries that make the area so famous. The last two hour drive takes us into the heart of Adelaide, back to civilisation and the end of our Remote Tour.
